My Students

John F. Kennedy once said to the American people "We will go to the moon!" This statement created the advancement of the technology that we have in our life has since greatly increased.

My school is in an suburban district that is growing quickly.

Students come from all backgrounds and ethnicities. The school is located in an area that is surrounded by the few remaining farms left with new developments going up everyday. Technology is slowly being implemented but not fast enough to keep up with the attention of the students.

My Project

We expect students to leave behind their electronics and not use them on a daily basis or even checking their phone every five minutes but instead trying to replace that with a pencil and paper. Students in this decade are technology oriented and spend more time on the computer and using technology more than ever. These response systems will help students to be engaged in the classroom and ready to learn. They will have some gratification to know how they did on quizzes and not wait a few days to find out how good or bad they did. Clickers are used a lot in college classrooms so this is a precursor that will help students understand a little more about the collegiate classroom.

Yes, students need to know how to write however, by using this system students will be given an opportunity to show and respond with different technology. We need to keep improving and finding new ways to engage technology and with that engaging technology opens up the windows to our students!
