Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their strength, curiosity, and ability to keep showing up even when life feels challenging. Many of them are learning how to manage stress, build confidence, communicate their feelings, and make positive choices for their future. They are thoughtful, creative, and capable students who deserve a space where they feel safe, supported, and encouraged.

Each resource in this project will help create a calm and welcoming classroom for resiliency groups, mental health support, and CAP advisory sessions.

Flexible seating and calming items will help students feel comfortable and grounded during conversations. Journals, writing tools, and reflection activities will give students a way to express their thoughts and feelings in a healthy way. Art supplies and hands-on materials will allow students to process emotions, practice coping skills, and participate in meaningful group activities. Organizational supplies will help keep the space structured, inviting, and ready for students to use.

These resources will support students as they learn important life skills such as emotional regulation, problem-solving, goal-setting, self-awareness, and positive communication. With the right tools and environment, students will be able to reset, reflect, and build the resilience they need to be successful in school and beyond.
