Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are brilliant! The students I work with are English language learners. They are literally from everywhere. Our class is the definition of diverse. These students speak multiple languages with ease but struggle a bit with the reading and writing portion. They come to school every day eager to work hard and are excited to learn.

My Project

Help! Our little classroom is being overtaken with all-out great stuff! My students and I are in need of some tools to organize our classroom library, school supplies, and personal belongings. We are asking for additional shelving for books. Currently, we have piles on a countertop. Shelving will allow students to easily see and find the book that interests them. We are also asking for magnetic marker holders. Students frequently use the whiteboards throughout the room, but not all the boards have a tray to hold markers. And last but not least, we would appreciate a paper cutter. Many times we do small writing assignments that do not merit an entire page. The cutter would save so much paper!
