My Students

My students are a fun and unique group of learners. Our preschool class is comprised of a mixed ability group of students with special needs. Every day the students work hard in the areas of pre-academics, social skills, socialization, speech, and motor planning while participating in our preschool activities. Many of our students have emerging language and communication skills and have sensory input needs.

Our students thoroughly enjoy music, active play, sensory activities and being part of a loving classroom family!

My Project

Preschool classrooms are bursting of fun, energy, and activity. Sometimes, our little students need a break from all of the hustle and bustle. The Crawl Thru Cube will create a small cozy space in our classroom for students to use when they are feeling overwhelmed and overstimulated.

Because we are a special needs preschool classroom, many of our students have sensory processing needs.

The Crawl Thru Cube can be used with existing classroom sensory materials (scarves, optical lights, etc) to create a unique sensory experience. The mirrors in the cube create visual interest for our students and provide calming sensory input while the floor pad will give students soft tactile input as they use the cube.
