Skeletal Remains

My students need a flexible-spine human skeleton model.

I teach a diverse group of seventh graders. Each class has a variety of student abilities ranging from gifted and talented, resource students,English as a second language and average ability.

We learn all our science concepts by doing "Hands On-Minds On" activities and labs. The students have shown a great deal of interest in how the human body works. Being at the beginning stages of puberty their individual bodies are all at extremely different heights. The skeletal system is a great way to introduce the amazing human body! This diverse socioeconomic area cannot afford to purchase a life size model of a human skeleton.

My students need a life size model of a human skeleton. Students will be able to visually see how each bone moves and what natural restrictions each bone has. To read about the human body in a book is interesting but to actually see and feel an example of a human skeleton is AMAZING!! What a great benefit for all students to experience a "hands on" discovery of how the human body is structured.

If we could receive this donation for our science class,ALL students will be able to discover how their own skeleton works. This skeletal demonstration will be their first real experience with discovering how the human body performs.
