  • Staying Safe and Clean

    THANK YOU! THANK YOU for helping to keep my students safe when returning to school. All the cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer dispensers helped keep Covid at low in the classroom. These supplies helped us from spreading the virus within the classroom but also at home. Since many of our students primarily live with their elderly grandparents we were always one step ahead. Thinking about how to stop the spread and keep all of our families safe. These supplies helped us stay safe. While many schools had higher Covid numbers we were lucky. For that I deeply thank you!!!

  • Read Alouds for the Works

    Thank you! Thank you! Now that we are finally in person my students are currently reading through our first read aloud. Having a copy of Tiger Rising by Kate DiCamillo in their hands while we read makes my students have a greater connection with the text. My students are so excited that they want to continue reading on each and every day. We are excited to start our next read aloud next week.

  • Teaching Like a Pro

    Thank you! Thank you! On March 13, 2020 as I went home that day I took home my last chrome book. Since we all knew something was happening many of us teachers gave away what technology we had in our classroom to our students. I saved one chrome book for myself. And the following Monday started teaching remotely from it. However, the Chromebook is limited and only able to do to do so much. When I finally received the IPad I was able to teach not only with two devices which made teaching effortless. Now I was able to see my students on one device and able to teach from another but it enhanced my teaching with updated technology. Using the pen to annotate my students ideas and write some quick notes made teaching easier. Thank you! Thank you!”

  • I See Me As A Mathematician

    Thank you for donating towards this project. Even though this project was funded a long, long time ago my students had the pleasure of using the resources in the classroom. Some students were able to bring some of the resources home before we were quarantined.

    In the classroom, the supplies were used to differentiate work based on the students needs and also used in lessons. The dice, play money, rulers, tape measures, snap cubes, cusinare rods and other hands on objects helped students understand the curriculum.

However during these troubling times these 4 Chromebooks have helped students not only with there math work but also with their regular Classwork. These Chromebooks have accompanied students home for remote learning.

  • Keeping Our Chromebooks Safe and Sound

    Thank you for making the year a successful one for my students. With the addition of the extra chrome books, we were able to complete numerous projects in small research groups. Students have been successful in choosing topics and then finding primary sources and secondary sources to use in order to gather information. They have learned research skills that they can use for the rest of their schooling and life.   • Beginning the School Year with Class

    Thank you so much on donating to my project! Words cannot describe how excited my students were to walk into the classroom and see such a beautiful classroom. They absolutely love love the comfortable rug, cool looking shelf and all the supplies that they received. The computer desk is amazing because it's able to serve many purposes. It holds the document camera while I teach, work on my one to one conferences and organize all of my teaching materials. My room looks amazing that last years fourth graders are kinda jealous and said they wish they had the room last year.

  • Soaring Into Technology

    Since receiving the Chromebooks, my students have been able to complete projects in pairs or groups. They have been able to type up their essays and copy and paste images to show text features through various genres. The amount of work that they have been able to produce and the type of work that they have been producing has become extremely sophisticated. NO more paper and pencil. When I ask them to break up into groups or partnerships they are excited to begin the assignment. Words cannot explain the happiness that my students have when I ask them to go and get the Chromebooks for the days work. Thank you! Thank you!

  • Getting Organized in 4th Grade

    Thank you so much for supporting my classroom. My students have successful kept their school year schedule organized with the help of the planners. Fourth grade is a transition year and my students are beginning to have assignments due at various times of the year. With the help of the planners they have successfully organized their activities, assignments, trips and due dates into their planners just like adults do. They are now able to look ahead and plan when they will be working on their assignments and how much time they have left. It wouldn't have been possible if the planners were not funded. Thank you!”
