Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My first graders spend a large part of their day learning together on the classroom floor. Our classroom rug is more than just a place to sit — it is the heart of our classroom community. It is where we begin each morning, share stories, practice important skills, and celebrate learning together.

A new classroom rug will provide my students with a clean, comfortable, and welcoming space that helps them stay focused and engaged during lessons.

Many of my students learn best when they are gathered closely together for interactive activities, hands-on learning, and class discussions.

First graders thrive in environments that feel safe, colorful, and inviting. A classroom rug helps create structure, gives students personal space, and encourages collaboration and positive social interactions. Whether we are reading a favorite story, practicing math skills, or participating in a morning meeting, this rug will become a special place where learning comes alive every day.

Your generosity will help create a warm and organized learning environment where my students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Thank you for supporting our classroom and helping make learning comfortable and exciting for my first graders!
