My classroom is a happy place where children are learning and growing academically and socially. My class consists of 28 first graders who are curious and motivated learners. The class is very diverse in population. Their reading and math abilities fluctuate so it is important for me to group the children based on their levels through assessment. The children have limited resources at home and there is a lack of school funds available to purchase new materials. Besides being a certified teacher , I have an Art degree which comes in handy. I love creating fun learning games that meet the standards. Art is my passion as well as my students. I have the gift of drawing which encourages and motivates the children before me. They get so excited when we meet on the rug and I draw a new original character to watch over them for the day to make sure they are staying on task. I hope you enjoy reading about my classroom.
