Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The use of sketchbooks, or, as we call them in my art classroom, exploration books, is almost a daily activity. The exploration books are essential in helping students with their ideation and developing their critical thinking and creativity. They also let me see exactly what they are doing and provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. Currently, we are using handmade sketchbooks made from copy paper and construction paper, but what becomes a problem is the fact that they never seem to last, as they are easily torn and fall apart. When this happens, we then have to take the "sketchbook" and try to salvage the work they have already done to make a whole new "sketchbook" for them. By having new, sturdy sketchbooks, students will be able to avoid these problems and focus on increasing their learning and creativity!

By donating to our project, you will not only help improve productivity in art creation and focus, but also increase their creativity!

Students will be able to focus solely on their thinking and art-making, without worrying whether their materials will work. Plus, in the end, they will have a beautiful, well-thought-out work of art to show their achievements.
