Your generosity brought STEM and logic games into our fourth-grade classroom, giving my students exciting opportunities to think critically, work together, and solve challenging problems.\r\n\r\nOur students have been exploring Circuit Maze, Rush Hour Junior, Cat Crimes, and wooden hexagon puzzles. Working with these materials gives them opportunities to build electrical circuits, use clues to solve mysteries, plan sequences of moves, and explore how shapes fit together. Each challenge encourages them to look closely, consider possibilities, and approach a problem from different directions.\r\n\r\nOne special moment captured in our classroom photos shows students proudly displaying their Circuit Maze board with its lights glowing. Their completed circuit made an otherwise invisible science concept visible: connected components can create a path for electricity. Another photo shows a student proudly holding a completed wooden hexagon puzzle, a challenge requiring careful attention to how the pieces fit together. These moments give students something concrete to point to and say, \"I did that!\"\r\n\r\nIn a classroom with a wide range of learning needs, these materials offer valuable ways for students to participate and show their strengths. The games provide opportunities to practice spatial reasoning, decision-making, and collaboration while working toward a clear goal.\r\n\r\nThank you for making these experiences possible. We love our three D printer. We have already printed so many things for our classroom. In our classroom we allow one student to print something on the 3d printer when they are the leader. The students have to be in good behavior standing to be a leader. The printer is definitely used as an incentive in our classroom. Plus, we are learning technology as well. The students have learned so much. They pick their print and then send it from the laptop to the printer. This is perfect because we will be completing our beginning of the year diagnostics and I'm introducing students to online resources such as Epic and World Book encyclopedia to research their favorite animals. \r\nThe Lego sets, magnetic blocks, and marble works will be perfect STEM bins for students that finish early or come back from the special ed skills class. I had to exchange the printer which was unavailable so I ordered snacks. So many of my students do not bring anything and are hungry mid morning. It is a BIG help!! My class was so excited to see what was in the huge box when it was delivered!!!! When it was reveled they were clapping and so excited! Then, they saw the water bottles that went with it and they were thrilled!\r\n We use spring water for the hydration station, and it has been a hit. We do not have a water station on our floor. With having this in the room the kids are not missing important instruction they desperately need. Plus, it is great when they get back from recess or gym they can fill up in the room instead of forming a line outside in the hallway. Students are also learning about birds during small groups while we work on literacy skills. We anticipate setting up our camera set-up when the birds return from their migration.
