Having the heavier version has made a significant difference. It's become one of our go-to tools for students who need a healthy outlet to release energy before returning to focused learning. It's been a game-changer for so many of our kids.\r\n\r\nOur younger students have absolutely fallen in love with the crocodile sensory wall addition. Watching their eyes light up as they explore it has been one of those priceless classroom moments we'll never forget. They've also had a blast playing on the xylophone and matching the pieces. It's been a wonderful blend of sensory play and learning.\r\n\r\nPerhaps the transformation we're most excited about is the sensory path in our back hallway. What used to be a boring, bland space has completely come to life! Students now look forward to moving through it, and it's brought so much energy and joy to an area that was previously overlooked.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to continue integrating these tools into our daily sensory breaks and movement routines, and we're excited to see how our students grow and thrive with continued access to them.\r\n\r\nThank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for giving our students the resources they deserve. These aren't just stories — they're tools for building the kind of classroom community where every child feels seen, valued, and capable of growth. \r\n\r\nBooks like The Invisible Boy and Each Kindness by Jacqueline Woodson have sparked powerful conversations about what it means to include others and the lasting impact of both cruelty and compassion. We've used Enemy Pie and I Walk with Vanessa to explore conflict resolution and the courage it takes to stand up for someone else — skills my students practice every single day on the playground and in the hallways.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is an interactive, community experience. We gather together, and students are invited to share connections, notice character feelings, and respond in writing to big questions — like \"Have you ever felt invisible?\" or \"What small act of kindness could you do today?\" Thank you for helping my students to grow socially and emotionally through these powerful stories!","fullyFundedDate":1771277615653,"projectUrl":"project/powerful-picture-books/9977640/","projectTitle":"Powerful Picture Books","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Garrett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8289618_orig.jpg?crop=320,320,x0,y20&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731594873261","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8289618"},{"teacherId":8289618,"projectId":9744664,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your support of my \"Tools for Math Games\" project!
