The book, "The Mighty Mars Rovers: The Incredible Adventures of Spirit and Opportunity," is the anchor text for our integrated STEM and literacy unit. Through this engaging text and full-color photographs, the students learn about the incredible process of designing and landing the Spirit and Opportunity rovers on Mars. By combining this text with NASA press releases about the same events, the students will learn to compare and contrast the point of view of different texts while synthesizing information from multiple sources.
By donating to this project, you are helping to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders. While learning about these topics through reading, writing, speaking, and listening, the students will also participate in engineering and design labs and scientific investigations to build their understanding of space and the complexity of space exploration. I know that my students will dive into this learning with enthusiasm, but we need these books to make it happen! Thank you!
