It is a very important one and impacts these students tremendously. When the students saw the items purchased they were so excited. The pantry has the normal items and they were so excited to get to have other items they could take home. \r\n\r\nIt made a big difference in that our pantry is not equipped with enough food for the students who need to take some home. It has to be spread thinly in order for every student to have food. This project allowed the students to get enough food to take home and some treats they normally don't receive. \r\n\r\nThe smiles on their faces said it all. The joy in their voices would melt your heart. As these students are from different grade levels, they are all working on different things right now in their classrooms. Our word this month is persevere and I know that these students do their best and they don't give up. No matter what comes their way they come each day and do they best they can. \r\n\r\nIn 10 school days we will be celebrating our 100th day in school. That will be exciting for them. We will do many things that pertain to the number 100. We are writing opinion papers and working on Form and Function is Science. It is a busy time of the year getting back from Christmas break. We are excited and eager to learn as much as we can knowing the school year will go by quickly.
