I am a new music teacher at an elementary school in rural Toppenish, Washington. My students range from grades kindergarten to fifth grade and they are part of a community in Yakima Valley on the Yakama Indian reservation. They love coming to school to learn and socialize with their friends, but they also have a love for music and learning. In this special music class, students will find a love and appreciation for a variety of musical genres while learning things like sight words, grammar, and sentence patterns. If we can find ways to keep strong engagement in the class this will maximize their learning. Please consider supporting our music class as we work hard to improve our program and learn to love music.
