Art integration with curriculum is two-fold in its benefits to students. When integrating art, students are not only actively engaged in what they learn but better able to retain learned content. I would like to integrate art into my reading curriculum by having students create bulletin boards, poster boards, posters, and other resources. These resources will be used for students to refer back to and help further their understanding. A Cricut gives students the opportunity to create stencils, designs, lettering, and so forth to improve or create interesting student-created resources for them and their peers to refer back to learned content.
