These simple tools have transformed our literacy block by giving students a fun, engaging way to practice fluency, accuracy, and expression with a friend. The phones allow children to clearly hear their partners read, helping them stay focused and engaged. This shared experience has strengthened collaboration and built a positive reading community in our classroom.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, partner reading phones have made a remarkable difference for my struggling readers. They provide a safe, low-pressure way to practice reading aloud without feeling embarrassed or overwhelmed. These students are now eager to participate, proudly using the phones to read with their partners. The boost in confidence has been incredible, and their enthusiasm is spreading throughout the class.\r\n\r\nThanks to this project, every child - especially those who need extra support - feels empowered, included, and excited to grow as a reader. Your generosity has created meaningful, daily impact in our classrooms, and we are deeply grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1760384186327,"projectUrl":"project/turning-pages-together/9710475/","projectTitle":"Turning Pages Together","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McGhee","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6404343_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1556756779416","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/missstockwell"},{"teacherId":6404343,"projectId":9417513,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your support of my third grade students! We use them all day everyday! We start our day on our rug for our morning meeting. Every student is comfortable sitting in their own spot. They love the relaxing and peaceful colors of the rug. We meet at the rug for whole-group instruction multiple times a day. We end our day for closing circle on the rug, as well. The cushions are also used daily when working at the carpet or around the room. They make a good resting spot for clipboards when writing and drawing around the room. Of course they make sitting more comfortable, too!\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited to see our new rug and cushions. They said they love that they have their own spot and can be comfortable while working around the room. I love how the rug is the most-used spot in our whole classroom.
