Since our project was fully funded, we've wasted no time putting the new materials to work, and the energy in our fourth-grade room has completely transformed. It has been thrilling to watch the students immediately dive into using the tic-tac-toe game for quick, friendly challenges, and the conversations happening around the game are already helping students practice great turn-taking and sportsmanship. Thank you for making this immediate, positive change possible!\r\n\r\nThe biggest visible difference your donation made is the complete overhaul of our learning space. The new stackable stools have been a huge hit! The students cheered when they realized we now have more than enough stools for every person at our small group tables. This has allowed us to implement flexible seating with ease, giving the kids a choice about where they work and making our group collaboration time so much more focused and comfortable. Being able to easily move the stools to create different learning zones for group projects versus independent study has made our classroom a truly dynamic, flexible environment—something we couldn't achieve before your support.\r\n\r\nFinally, the construction paper is already being used to bring our curriculum to life! Just last week, we used it to create detailed models of the rock cycle for Science and build 3D historical maps for our Virginia Studies unit. These hands-on, creative projects are making history and scientific concepts truly stick, replacing static worksheets with engaging, tactile learning. Your investment has been directly responsible for creating a creative space that also gives students choice! \r\n\r\nWe are forever grateful!","fullyFundedDate":1755299945439,"projectUrl":"project/help-our-4th-graders-grow/9582865/","projectTitle":"Help Our 4th Graders Grow!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Woods","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4501663_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1499858648884","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4501663"},{"teacherId":9811989,"projectId":9342922,"letterContent":"The Comfort Closet has already made a big difference for our students. With the sturdy storage bins, over the door organizer, and clear labeling, essential items like hygiene supplies and weather-appropriate clothing are now neatly stored and easy to find. The organized system has created a welcoming and respectful way to meet unexpected needs, helping students feel comfortable and cared for while staying focused on their learning.\r\n\r\nKnowing that these supplies are available to anyone who needs them has created a sense of security and belonging across the school. Because these tools are available to all 250 students in our school, the benefits extend far beyond one classroom. Students across grade levels now have access to materials that help them manage their energy and emotions, allowing them to participate more fully in lessons and activities. The addition of these resources has supported smoother transitions, increased engagement, and a calmer overall atmosphere throughout the school.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, students were excited to explore the different textures, colors, and uses of each item. That initial excitement quickly turned into purposeful use as they learned how to incorporate the tools into their daily routines. We are now integrating these resources into our daily routines to help maintain focus, encourage collaboration, and support a positive learning environment for every student in our building.","fullyFundedDate":1746785388573,"projectUrl":"project/calm-cozy-and-ready-to-learn/9319883/","projectTitle":"Calm, Cozy, and Ready to Learn","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Reed","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9811989_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y231&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741649202885","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9811989"},{"teacherId":9811989,"projectId":9134230,"letterContent":"We are so grateful for the sensory room resources. Our students use them daily as a safe space to self regulate, refocus, and decompress when they're feeling overwhelmed. When the students first saw the materials, they were curious and interested, taking their time to explore everything. Several students were especially drawn to the canopy and the pillows, quietly settling in and making themselves comfortable. It was clear from the beginning that this space would become a valued part of our classroom environment. Now that students have access to this supportive space, we're integrating more social emotional learning into our routines. One of our next steps is a project where students identify their emotions and create their own personalized calm-down kits using sensory tools and strategies that work best for them. The new resources are helping them build independence and emotional awareness every day.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAsk ChatGPT","fullyFundedDate":1746446038619,"projectUrl":"project/a-calming-sensory-space-for-young-minds/9134230/","projectTitle":"A Calming Sensory Space for Young Minds to Thrive!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Reed","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9811989_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y231&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741649202885","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9811989"},{"teacherId":9811989,"projectId":8895641,"letterContent":"I cannot begin to express the excitement and joy your donation has brought to our students! When our new soccer goals arrived, the sheer delight on their faces was unforgettable—cheers echoed across the playground as they realized they now had real goals to play with. These new resources have transformed our recess and physical education activities, allowing students to engage in structured games that promote teamwork, strategy, and physical fitness. Beyond the game itself, these soccer goals have created a space where students build friendships, boost their confidence, and develop a love for movement that will benefit them for years to come.\r\n\r\nThe first day students were able to use the soccer goals became a very memorable moment where students of all skill levels came together, encouraging one another and celebrating each small victory. For many, this was their first experience playing with official equipment instead of cones or imaginary lines, and it made a world of difference in how they viewed the sport. Physically, they are gaining endurance and coordination, but the impact extends far beyond the field. The sense of belonging, the resilience they develop through practice, and the sheer happiness of having a dedicated space to play are invaluable. Moving forward, we are incorporating soccer into our PE curriculum, teaching fundamental skills and sportsmanship while allowing students to experience the joy of the game in a supportive environment. Thanks to you, our students now have an opportunity to engage in a sport they love, fostering lifelong healthy habits and invaluable social skills.","fullyFundedDate":1733222035673,"projectUrl":"project/elementary-soccer-goals/8895641/","projectTitle":"Elementary Soccer Goals","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Reed","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9811989_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y231&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741649202885","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9811989"},{"teacherId":7687200,"projectId":8690925,"letterContent":"Thank you immensely for our drum materials and flexible seating for our music classroom!
