One of our favorite moments was watching students excitedly pick up the write & wipe cards for the first time—they were thrilled that they could practice, erase, and try again! It instantly boosted their confidence and turned language learning into an engaging, hands-on experience. The Lysol wipes worked great to clean off the materials after use. \r\n\r\nRecently, my students worked on describing pictures and forming complete sentences using the cards. Hearing them proudly share their sentences aloud—and even helping each other correct and improve them—was a powerful reminder of how far they've come.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll be using these materials to prepare for upcoming language assessments and to support students in writing short paragraphs and dialogues. These lessons are building not only academic skills, but also the confidence they need to express themselves in English every day.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students the tools and encouragement they need to find their voices and grow as learners. We worked on a different subject matter, different materials and tools for each grade level. \r\n 3rd grade students studies architecture from around the world and created a cityscape in their sketchbook. Students transferred the sketches to a foam printing board and carved the lines. Then the students filled the print block with color and we used wet paper to pull the print. The architectural prints are vivid, colorful works of art and the students decided that it was a magical process. Many students brainstormed other projects that they would like to work on at school and at home. 2nd grade students followed the same process, but used bugs as they subjects. Everyone created an amazing bug print, and each design was different. This helps students develop their own individual artistic voice.\r\n 4th grade students created a garden print using all new materials. We used sandpaper to create a rough surface on transparencies. Students drew garden scenes with a variety of flowers and butterflies with watercolor crayons. Paper was dampened and prints were pulled. \r\n 5th grade students are working in a series titled \"Familiar Faces\". We have been working on portraiture. The printmaking project focused on the face of the sun. We sketched ideas, carved them into print foam and added color. Students pulled the prints with wet paper and added arms of the sun with oil pastel. 5th grade also created radial symmetrical prints using foamy sheets as printing blocks and cut foamy sheets to create an additional garden design. Students created original paper using chalk pastel to develop a background design and then added the black print on top of the paper for a beautiful original print. \r\n\r\nWe can't thank you enough for creating the opportunities for all of our students to develop their talents and to use quality materials that you provided.
