Although Christmas is generally focused on toys, it is my hope this year to send every child home this Christmas with a NEW book of their choice, on their reading level. We are in need of books in English and Spanish and those with both English and Spanish. It is a proven fact that if they are interested in it they are more likely to read about it. It is my hope that each child will he presented with a wrapped book based on their interest. This will help them become stronger more confident readers, ensure that they read over the holiday, help them to realize that they can enjoy reading independently. A NEW book will be a thing of pride for my students as we help to instil a love of reading.

About my class
