They already of filled up their book boxes with the new books. Books are so vital to 2nd grade. Having a great selection of fiction, nonfiction, chapter and graphic novels will inspire each and every one of us to become great readers. \r\n\r\nEven if it is just looking at the pictures (which is why so many picture books) it will give students something to talk about and think about. Maybe they will create their own story in their head. Which is also being a good reader.\r\n\r\nWe work hard every day to be great and wonderful readers. No morning work for them to struggle with. The morning bins are so helpful and useful for them.\r\n\r\nThe gift card bought: 2 reading centers, 2 math centers, brag badges (for classroom management), spiral review and phonics centers that I was on the look out for.
