It was nice for them to be able to have the option to be in charge of the presentation. Many of my English learners used to feel anxious when taking online assessments and WIDA testing because they struggled more with navigating the devices than with showing what they truly knew. Now, with reliable laptops and up-to-date software, they can focus on demonstrating their skills. The technology allows them to practice reading, writing, speaking, and listening using interactive tools that mirror the format of their actual assessments. This familiarity has reduced test anxiety, improved their digital literacy, and helped them perform more accurately—reflecting their real growth and potential.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most about this new technology is the independence it gives them. They love using language-learning apps, voice-recording tools, and translation supports to check their understanding and practice at their own pace. One student, for example, began using the microphone feature to record herself reading passages out loud, and she now beams with pride when she notices her pronunciation improving. Others collaborate more confidently on projects, using shared documents and online discussion boards to communicate ideas both in English and Spanish.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, my students no longer see technology as a barrier—they see it as a bridge to success.
