In order to help the students fill in some of their educational gaps due to COVID-19, I work with them in small groups. This time is valuable and allows me to give individual time to each student. During this daily personalized instruction time, the students gather around a table while sitting on stools and use whiteboards to demonstrate their work. I currently do not have enough stools for them to sit on and the whiteboard supplies have run out. I also use flashcards and bright colored paper to aid in their instruction. While working with individuals and small groups the remainder of the students are usually working on computers and are learning from the online component of our curriculum. Headphones are needed for this. Having a rolling computer stand and other classroom materials will facilitate my small group and whole-class instruction. Physical activity and getting outside also help with academic achievement. My students are lacking playground equipment to use when they are playing outside I appreciate your support in helping my students succeed as learners.
