Listening centers help students become engaged in learning to read. These types of centers are fun and encourage independent reading. Students enjoy listening and it facilitates using several different senses. They will use their eyes, ears, touch and verbally read along with the books. Student love to learn and want to succeed. However, classrooms are not able to fund all the different resources that would meet the diverse needs of students. The listening center can offer a unique and engaging activity the students will look forward to every day .
