There are countless stories and histories and opportunities for reflection that we will share and grow from as a class. \r\n\r\nIn particular, I plan on using an \"identity wheel\" with these texts to help my students break down the intricacies of social identity. My aim is to guide students into a deep understanding of who they are, what they value, and what they desire to change in the world they live in. This is a big task, and it may not all be done in a year, but I'm going to start with these texts. I appreciate your support and belief in me to connect and guide middle schoolers' development.
