Our school is a Title I, inner-city school with a diverse population. 86% of our students are considered low-income. We are exploring new ways to use data to improve instruction and objectives, the learning environment and student outcomes. Our pillars for success are commitment, perseverance, and honor. Students are pushed to excel, to achieve great things, and to stay focused on academic goals and pursuits. My students in particular are thriving now on everything I expect them to do. Achieving something in music can be intelligence-based, or performance based. I have students in both categories.
