I'm writing to share how this resource has improved student outcomes, engagement, and confidence in ways that go beyond traditional materials.\r\n\r\nBefore SLP Now was available, many students struggled with consistent practice, motivation, and access to targeted, evidence-based activities that match their individual goals. SLP Now provided a suite of high-quality tools and lesson materials that allowed me to deliver structured, scaffolded practice tailored to each student's needs. The platform's clear lesson sequences and adaptable activities made it easier to design sessions that focus directly on articulation, language organization, social communication, and fluency goals.\r\n\r\nOne immediate impact has been increased student engagement. The interactive, age-appropriate activities captured attention and motivated students to participate more actively during sessions. When students are engaged, they practice more, show greater persistence with challenging targets, and carry strategies into natural contexts. This increased engagement translated into faster progress toward measurable goals.\r\n\r\nSLP Now also improved efficiency and consistency in therapy. Ready-to-use lesson plans, visual supports, and progress-monitoring tools reduced session prep time and allowed me to spend more face-to-face time guiding practice and providing feedback. Consistency in how targets are presented—both in therapy and through home practice materials—helped reinforce learning across environments. Families appreciated the simple, printable or digital home activities that promoted carryover between sessions.\r\n\r\nStudents have shown clear gains in speech clarity and expressive language. Targeted drills and scaffolded language tasks supported improvements in articulation for several persistent sounds, and sequencing/organization activities helped students produce longer, more coherent utterances. These advances reduced communication breakdowns and made classroom participation less stressful for students, which in turn improved academic engagement.\r\n\r\nAn important outcome has been growth in social communication and confidence. SLP Now's pragmatic-language activities and conversation practice templates gave students safe, structured opportunities to try new skills. As they experienced success in therapy, many students began to initiate interactions more often, participate in group activities, and communicate more comfortably with peers and teachers. Families and classroom teachers reported noticing reduced anxiety around speaking tasks and an increase in student willingness to take communicative risks.\r\n\r\nProgress monitoring features within SLP Now allowed me to document gains more precisely and adjust instruction quickly. Being able to track performance across sessions made goal-setting more data-informed and helped demonstrate measurable progress to families and administrators. This transparency supported stronger family-school collaboration and made it easier to celebrate student success.\r\n\r\nBeyond direct skill gains, SLP Now has supported sustainability of practice. The platform's resources encouraged consistent home practice, and families were able to follow clear, scaffolded activities that reinforced therapy objectives. This continuity of practice across settings accelerated carryover and helped students generalize skills to everyday communication.\r\n\r\nIn summary, SLP Now funded by DonorsChoose has been a transformative addition to our therapy toolkit. It increased student engagement, supported measurable gains in articulation and expressive language, strengthened social communication and confidence, and improved the efficiency and consistency of my service delivery. Your generosity has not only provided valuable materials, but also helped create stronger communication outcomes and greater access to evidence-based therapy for the students I serve.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in SLP Now and in our students' communication growth. Your support is deeply appreciated and is already making a lasting difference.","fullyFundedDate":1755701595516,"projectUrl":"project/provide-my-students-with-evidence-based/9539881/","projectTitle":"Provide My Students With Evidence-based, and Literacy-based Therapy Materials","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Neider","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8830310"},{"teacherId":7127409,"projectId":5733311,"letterContent":"In order for first graders to learn to read proficiently, they have to be able to write and draw using their imaginations.
