The structure and organization these materials provide have helped students stay more focused and independent during transitions and group work.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were immediately excited. Many of them went straight to the new supplies, flipping through notebooks, organizing their folders, and asking when they could use the games. The calm corner also drew quiet curiosity, and students quickly began discussing how it could help them when they need a break or a moment to reset.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue building routines around these resources. Students will use their materials daily to track learning goals, participate in interactive lessons, and reflect on their progress. We will also continue teaching and practicing how to use the calm corner intentionally as part of our social-emotional learning work, helping students recognize their emotions and choose strategies that support their learning. One of the first days we used them, several students immediately made their way to the bean bags, smiling and saying how comfortable and \"cozy\" they felt while reading. It created such a calm and welcoming atmosphere that even my more hesitant readers were eager to settle in with a book.\r\n\r\nThe SEL materials have also been a meaningful addition to our daily routine. We are using them during morning meetings and reflection time to help students name their feelings, practice empathy, and build stronger relationships with one another. Students were excited when they first saw the materials and were eager to explore how they could use them to express themselves and connect with classmates.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue using these resources to strengthen our classroom community and support students in developing both academic and social-emotional skills.
