It is always fantastic to take on and show students how to use a brand new materials and this was no different. They are basically relearning how to paint because all the rules we use for watercolor are not used in acrylic painting. The bright colors that weren't grungy with other colors on them and how many colors they had to choose from, it was incredible. \r\n\r\nThe project we did was a new one for me using the third grade standard for arrays. My students used their new chalks to create sunsets that were the backgrounds for the buildings that had windows as the arrays. The results were so beautiful! The larger totes have been great to store lesson materials for reading and math, books, STEM, math manipulatives, art supplies and many classroom items we use throughout the year!\r\n\r\nLabels helped organize our writing, math and vocabulary notebooks. Students will use skill books later in the year to keep the learning happening at home as well. Glue sticks have already been used to create raccoons to incorporate an art project after learning about being brave like Chester from the story \"A Kissing Hand\". Students have used glue sticks for math, science, art and reading. They made cute pumpkins in October which was fun! \r\n\r\nThank you for helping us to stay organized and functional!
