We have learned prepositional frases over under around and through while moving our bodies with the hula hoops. This year has especially be hard for several kids emotionally. Since the beginning of the year we have taken the time to read the emotion book set of spots. The children have learned how to identify their feels by being able to name them through the books. They have also learned how to help calm themselves if they are feeling angry, anxiety, sad, overwhelmed, etc. Since our program focuses a lot on the social skills this box set has been very helpful resource along with other resources we use. As teachers we are slowly see the difference in those children who needed more help social. Change the way they react to others, using their words more to communicate their feels to others, less physical reactions towards other, and a more calmer atmosphere in the classroom. The impact has been slowly changing in all of the children and in turn teachers are able to focus more on the academics part of school.
