The students are challenged to create a maze or game for a marble to go through on a large build plate. Thanks to your support, we've been able to enhance our learning environment with new resources that have provided both teaching and learning experiences for teachers and students.\r\n\r\nWhen the new gross motor toys arrived for our gross motor room, the excitement among the students was palpable. Their eyes lit up with joy and curiosity as they explored the colorful and engaging equipment. One memorable moment was watching a group of students collaborate on setting up an obstacle course using the stepping stones. The students eagerly took turns and cheered each other on. This specific project not only fostered teamwork but also improved their coordination and balance skills, showcasing the immediate benefits of these resources.\r\n\r\nWith the new basketball hoop, our students have embraced an exciting new form of play that promotes both physical activity and social skills. One of the standout features is its stability, ensuring safety as the children engage with it. This has allowed students to shoot hoops from any angle, fostering confidence in their movements. This activity not only brought joy but also encouraged teamwork and friendly competition, as multiple children could use the hoop simultaneously. It's been a wonderful addition to our classroom, enriching our physical education sessions and encouraging active, cooperative play.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our students will continue to develop their gross motor skills through structured activities designed to challenge and inspire them. These exercises are essential for their physical development and also contribute to their cognitive growth, as they learn to navigate and solve problems in a playful setting.\r\n\r\nWe are deeply grateful for your support and look forward to sharing more successes as our students continue to thrive with these new resources.","fullyFundedDate":1733260894613,"projectUrl":"project/learning-through-gross-motor-play/8804019/","projectTitle":"Learning Through Gross Motor Play","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Brie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9133478_orig.jpg?crop=923,923,x0,y3&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753306668615","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9133478"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_95803","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":792,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":13,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":76,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":11,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":85.6,"schoolId":95803,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Eastlake Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Eastlake Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/utah/jordan-school-district/eastlake-elementary-school/95803"}
