This project has given my third-grade students opportunities to learn in ways that go far beyond simply using a 3D printer. They are learning to design, create, problem-solve, collaborate, and persevere while using technology as a tool for learning.\r\n\r\nTechnology has helped my students become active participants in their learning. Instead of just reading about an animal or its habitat, students can design an animal, create it with a 3D printer, build a habitat, and use coding and robotics to bring their learning to life. They are applying science, math, engineering, technology, and creativity all at the same time. The 3D printer turns an idea on paper into something students can actually hold and examine.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, I have seen students grow in their confidence and willingness to try, revise, and try again. When a design doesn't work the first time, students learn that failure is part of the learning process. They make adjustments, solve problems, and celebrate their successes. Your donation of filament has helped create a classroom where students see themselves as creators, designers, engineers, and problem-solvers. Thank you for helping make these meaningful learning experiences possible for my students!","fullyFundedDate":1787678839121,"projectUrl":"project/usbe-ai-for-k12-education-3d-printing/10532631/","projectTitle":"USBE AI for K–12 Education - 3D Printing","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rowley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8278115"},{"teacherId":3797225,"projectId":7117001,"letterContent":"I want to thank you for supporting our SEL Classroom Library! These stories have become such a meaningful part of our music integration lessons, and the students absolutely love them. One standout favorite has been Don't Worry About a Thing by Bob Marley. Our younger students especially enjoy singing along and then expressing their creativity by drawing birds inspired by the story. It's been such a joyful way to connect music, art, and literacy in one experience.\r\n\r\nOur older students have really connected with The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. We've paired it with a three-part apple tree song, allowing students to explore harmony and storytelling at the same time. It's been wonderful to watch them engage more deeply with both the music and the message of the story. Across all grade levels, Oh, A-Hunting We Will Go has quickly become a class favorite. We turn it into an interactive game where students sing, move, and laugh together as they try to \"catch a fox and put him in a box\"—the giggles truly echo down the hall.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create moments of joy, creativity, and connection in our classroom every single day. These books are not just being read—they are being sung, acted out, and brought to life by our students. Thank you for making such a lasting and meaningful impact on their learning experience.","fullyFundedDate":1768506085604,"projectUrl":"project/books-and-beats/9758152/","projectTitle":"Books and Beats","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Payne","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8632081_orig.jpg?crop=1932,1932,x0,y322&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1661369599666","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8632081"},{"teacherId":8632081,"projectId":9270433,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to my classroom! I can't explain how much this organization has changed how easily my students and I manage. These organization bins now store art and music supplies that are beautifully labeled and easy to access, as well as student work, master copies, and \"parts\" for projects. These bins also house substitute plans and future projects and keep all the supplies in one place! They are SO handy!\r\n\r\nThe students love being able to \"get into\" the bins to get what they need. They love that they can see the supplies and that they have access to them. They get so excited when they notice new supplies being put out and ask what project they get to do so they will be able to use them. They can also come to my classroom and feel a sense of calm when it feels organized and less cluttered. The bins are sturdy enough that I don't worry about students breaking them, and they love being independent! (And let's be honest... that makes my job easier as well!) I'm so excited to finish organizing my classroom and this gave me a great start!\r\n\r\nI can't express how much your generosity means to teachers like myself! It's often hard to fund the supplies that make our jobs easier and our classrooms run more smoothly. As I go back and forth between 3 different schools (one is an hour away), I have a lot of time to think. I am thankful every day for kind people that make the world a better place. Again, THANK YOU!!! From the bottom of my heart.
