When students work together and play games while using their math skills they are able to practice in a fun way. They enjoy setting their paper and pencils aside to practice with math manipulatives. Seeing math in a variety of ways will help students reach mastery levels in their learning without even realizing that they are doing school work. Math games provide opportunities to learn to work cooperatively with others while taking turns. Students learn great communication skills and are able to support each other through encouragement and peer support.
