Your contribution has brought a fresh sense of excitement and possibility to our readers. With access to a wider range of titles—spanning different genres and perspectives—students are now able to choose books that genuinely spark their curiosity and fuel their love of reading.\r\n\r\nThe impact of your gift goes far beyond the pages of the books themselves. Because of you, students are engaging in deeper discussions, exploring new ideas, and building confidence as independent thinkers and leaders. The enhanced reading experience has also strengthened our sense of community, as students come together to share stories, challenge each other's viewpoints, and discover the joy of learning outside the traditional classroom setting. We are truly grateful for your partnership in helping our students grow as readers, leaders, and lifelong learners.","fullyFundedDate":1761935119740,"projectUrl":"project/student-page-turners/9774290/","projectTitle":"Student Page Turners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Talbot","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8279795"},{"teacherId":7944049,"projectId":8156032,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation that has helped me greatly expand my classroom library. It is very important to me that students are able to choose books that they can relate to and that they actually will enjoy for their independent reading. This past year, I've had more students achieve their independent reading goals and complete their projects than ever before. I think this is thanks in a large part to the greater selection of books that you have helped me purchase for my classroom library. \r\n\r\nI have a lot of students who love sports, and I was able to purchase a lot of books about sports. A reluctant reader who would rather be playing basketball than reading a book really enjoyed Ball Don't Lie. A student gymnast was super pleased to see her sport represented in the book Break the Fall. \r\n\r\nNo book series was more beloved than The Selection last year. I had countless students read these books. It made me so happy to hear them discussing them before and after class.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping to make my independent reading program possible!","fullyFundedDate":1715135137654,"projectUrl":"project/amazing-books-for-amazing-students/8156032/","projectTitle":"Amazing Books for Amazing Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hall","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7944049"},{"teacherId":8278373,"projectId":8415043,"letterContent":"Thank you for your donation of cute frogs and ducks as incentive prizes! One of the ways students can earn and build their particularly cute tiny collections is by winning class competitions such as kahoots or blookets. Sometimes students work in groups to complete bellwork challenges and whoever gets at least 70% correct or more will get to put their name on the winner's board and get a prize. But the HIGHEST honor in my classroom is when students get their final papers displayed on the Star Work wall. I'll pull the best of the best papers and projects from each class and read a portion of their paper out loud. They get to supplement their celebration with cute prizes as well as public recognition. The last way I've been using your donation is to build relationships with students. Once a week I'll let students do a rock, paper, scissors battle with me. Best of one WINS! Junior High students and myself are super competitive, and we look forward to winning or losing gracefully. Either way, we know we'll get to try again, which is THE WHOLE POINT of school! ; ) I have lots of other students who come in and say, \"So YOU'RE the one with the frogs and ducks?!?!?!?!?\" Yes, I am the one. Thank you again. Although I hope students remember what I taught them, I know they will alway remember how they felt - pride, excitement, and hopefully looking forward to next time.","fullyFundedDate":1726702069933,"projectUrl":"project/particularly-cute-prizes/8415043/","projectTitle":"Particularly Cute Prizes","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wiemers","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8278373_orig.jpg?crop=953,953,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1705167071786","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8278373"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_49152","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1092,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":14,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":79,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":10,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 9","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":81.5,"schoolId":49152,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mueller Park Junior High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mueller Park Junior High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/utah/davis-school-district/mueller-park-junior-high-school/49152"}
