Learning today is much different than learning when I was young. Classes are larger and there is a lot of stimuli which impacts many students and their ability to focus and concentrate while working independently in class. Having noise blocking headphones for students will eliminate distracting noises in the classroom and help students focus and concentrate on their individual learning. Many students ask to listen to music while working independently, not because they necessarily want to listen to the music, but because they want to block out distractions that often occur in classes of 40 students. I want to give my students an opportunity to have the tools necessary in order for them to be successful in class.
