Your generosity has made an immediate and meaningful impact on my students' daily learning experiences.\r\n\r\nOne of the first items we used was the book Blurt Beans, which perfectly supported our current behavior incentive system. We are learning what it means to listen respectfully and not call out during lessons, and this book helped introduce that skill in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate way. My students loved the rhyming story, and it sparked great conversations about self-control and being part of a learning community.\r\n\r\nWe have also begun using the bouncy balls you provided as part of our birthday gifts for students. This small celebration means so much to them, and having a special, fun surprise to look forward to on their big day has added joy to our classroom culture.\r\n\r\nDuring our night sky science unit, I read Luna Muna aloud, and it quickly became a class favorite. Students were captivated by the story and connected the book to what they were learning about space. It enriched our discussions and made our lessons feel even more exciting and alive.\r\n\r\nFinally, the stackable stools have been a huge hit. My students use them every single day. They love having the flexibility to move around the room, work in different spaces, and collaborate more comfortably. My students are thrilled with all the new books! When I opened the boxes, they immediately were excited about the new covers, drawings, and new titles. These books have sparked an interest in learning about people who have contributed to our world. \r\n\r\nOur first activity was a book walk. I placed all the books around the room. The students had a few minutes to walk around and look at the covers. Then they could choose a book and read it for 1-2 minutes. Then I would ring a bell, and they'd have to choose a new book to browse. I did this to spark interest. It certainly worked! They were upset they couldn't finish all of the books during this time. As we get further into the project, students will choose one biography to read more in depth. They will create a biography flip book to share with others. Once the students hear from the other students, I will put all the books back out and let them read as many as they want. I know they are looking forward to this. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your kind donations! I love giving students a way to learn about people that are new to them. They've loved taking turns styling each other's hair and applying pretend makeup, which has sparked their creativity and encouraged cooperative play.\r\n\r\nAnother wonderful resource we received was a kit to create a dinosaur-themed sand table. It has quickly become a favorite in our classroom.
