All 5th grade students want hands on learning! This type of learning is the most engaging and interactive. The requested materials will make all the difference in my science class this year! Utah has written a new science curriculum. They did an excellent job with this! The lessons have been written to have the students lead the discussions and instruction. Having these materials will allow students to observe and take notes of what is occurring first hand. While completing my STEM endorsement from Weber State University, I experienced this for myself. The lessons that I remember to most included active participation.
