The resources we received have made the biggest impact on my students. I have pulled out the magnetic base 10 blocks multiple times to support a student in their learning when they need a concrete example of the problem they are solving. The place value disks have been a favorite of us all for math fluency warm ups that we do each day before we begin our lesson. \r\nWhile learning g about time and money my teaching was easier since I have large, magnetic example of a clock and the money. My students were excited to participate in learning since they were able to use these materials on the board. They worked hard to complete the problem on their own so that they could be chosen to use them. \r\nYour gifts will continue to engage students for many more years!","fullyFundedDate":1737057139277,"projectUrl":"project/money-place-value-and-time-manipulativ/9053276/","projectTitle":"Money, Place Value, and Time Manipulatives for Amazing 2nd Graders!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nisbett","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7414107_orig.png?crop=299,299,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1630358967346","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7414107"},{"teacherId":119887,"projectId":9051920,"letterContent":"I can't thank you enough for your incredible generosity in fully funding our classroom project! When the boxes arrived and we unpacked the flexible seating stools, laminator, paper cutter, and storage boxes, my students' faces lit up with excitement. It was such a joyful moment.\r\nWe've already started using the stools during small group instruction, and I've noticed a big difference in student focus and participation. The kids love having a choice in where and how they sit, and it's made our small group time feel more inviting and productive.\r\nI've also been busy creating hands-on materials with the laminator and paper cutter—vocabulary cards, math games, and fluency strips. One of our recent projects was a \"Fluency Challenge\" activity, where students used laminated reading passages to time themselves and graph their progress. They were so proud of their improvements and loved using dry-erase markers to track their growth. The storage boxes have helped keep everything tidy and easy to access, so transitions are smoother and our materials stay organized.\r\nNext, we're diving into a new reading unit focused on nonfiction texts, and the laminated graphic organizers and vocabulary tools will be a huge help. In math, we're starting a review spiral where students rotate through skill stations—something that will be even more effective thanks to the resources you've provided.\r\nYour support has brought a wave of energy and engagement into our classroom. Though you chose to remain anonymous, your kindness has left a lasting imprint on all of us.
