Students can feel their heart beating fast when they run, but it brings awareness to a whole new level when there is a number associated with it. \"My heart rate was at 160!\" As we continue to check heart rates during PE, keep the data on a sheet, and graph it over time, they will deepen their understanding of how their movement impacts their health. \r\nThe Heart Zone Cards will be an added learning tool to help students understand how exercising affects their bodies. Using the chart, they will be able to match their goal with the appropriate level of exercise and choose activities that align with both.
