I have requested a guided reading library from School Speciality under Creative Teaching Press. These books are desperately needed because I came into a classroom with very few guided reading books. At this point I will need to borrow books from other teachers. Reading is such an important skill. These books will also introduce the kids to science and math concepts through nonfiction books. In Kindergarten we focus on literacy and establish a foundation that helps these children learn to read. This foundation will help each child throughout their education. These books will also introduce kids to science and math concepts through nonfiction books. Stem is being introduced to our district and the focus is helping each child to create and explore when gaining the knowledge to learn about the world around them.
