I will use these resources to strengthen my character mini lessons. We'll read about mindfulness, critical thinking, the power of pause, the power of yet, growth mindset, and social and emotional well-being. We'll also link the story to our actions and do activities to help us know how to use these skills in our daily lives. We already have a friendship focus, but will now be able to connect this focus to the characters in our books. I hope to not only strengthen my students' skills in these areas, but help them love reading and make a connection between stories/characters and the empathy we feel for each other.

About my class
