Already, they have enjoyed using them around the school to capture pictures of different activities, and their enthusiasm continues to grow as we prepare for our first field trip on October 13, 2025. This opportunity has given them a new way to observe and engage with the world around them.\r\n\r\nThe addition of cameras has had an immediate positive impact on our classroom. Students are more eager to participate in lessons when they know they can document their discoveries through photography. It encourages them to look closely, notice details, and think critically about what they are learning. By capturing images, they are also finding creative ways to connect subjects such as science, social studies, and language arts.\r\n\r\nThis project has also given our students a meaningful way to reflect on their learning. They are able to review their photos, discuss their choices, and use the images as a springboard for writing, presentations, and collaboration. Having a visual record of their experiences deepens understanding and provides all learners—especially visual learners—an opportunity to shine.
