A sensory table will allow my students to learn through touching objects during tactile sensory play. This helps them develop their fine and gross motor skills. These activities will be linked to our educational themes in our classroom to extend the learning Through sensory learning, students can access academic standards such as science as they are introduced to concepts such as sink or float. They can improve their mathematical skills by comparing buckets of sand to see which has more or less. Even social skills and creativity are addressed through sensory play while helping kids develop higher level thinking skills.
