The students were so excited to see the items that they received. They received two gym mats, yoga blocks, and stretchy bands. I didnt tell the students when the items came in to keep it a surprise. I layed the items out in the classroom so as they would be walking in they would see it right in the middle of class.They were all jumping and screaming from the excitement and started asking how soon could they start using the items. We started using them soon after. \r\nThe students are currently working on improving their turns. They were using the mats to work on core exercises, the yoga blocks and stretchy bands for balance exercises. Now the students have more ways that they can practice and improve their technique. We will continue using the items for improving their technique. I posted the project, but the materials are for myself and 3 other 7th grade teachers. This means that the supplies are being used by around 420 students. \r\n\r\nWe have used the color printers with ink to help us plan and set up for our lessons. Our 7th grade Science TEKS changed over the summer, which meant that many of the resources that we had, are no longer functional. We had to create resources from scratch. We were able to create new word walls, with pictures in color, and then were laminated. We did this for 12 units. The good part is that since they were laminated, they can now be used year after year (or until they change our curriculum again). \r\n\r\nNot all students have color printers at home. They know that they can request for us to print materials for them. Unfortunately, the drying system that we received did not work like we had hoped, but we were able to get some more filament and a tool kit for post processing. We also have been experimenting with timelapse videos of our prints. The students are having a lot of fun with that! I'm not sure which they like doing better, the printing or the video! The storage racks have really helped us save space as well. We have a floor rack, but it was not designed to be a filament storage rack. It gets the job done, but the wall racks have been a lot more accessible.
