In our robotics classroom, we use a lot of hands-on and visual learning. We have successfully completed two build challenges made from recyclable materials, spagetthi, string, tape and marshmallows. These kits will give my students the opportunity to continue learning how to build different things through a kinesthetic approach. Over the past 7 weeks, we have learned about the differerent types of engineering and different STEM careers that we can pursue. We also covered the engineering design process (EDP) and the importance it has in bringing an idea to life. With these Rubber Band Racer kits, my students will be able to put what we have covered into practice. From carefully following a 'blueprint' (the insturctions) to brining the model to life, these kits will put the steps of the EDP into action as well as some science and engineering aspects of the STEM model.
