I am able to print assignments, reports, and my data, thanks to the ink cartridges I was able to order. Using Microsoft MakeCode Arcade, students apply computational-thinking and problem-solving skills as they develop characters, create challenges, program controls, and troubleshoot their code. Once their games are complete, students transfer them to a micro and connect it to the arcade shield, transforming their digital projects into playable handheld games.\r\n\r\nThese devices have increased student engagement by making coding feel creative, exciting, and relevant. Students take pride in holding and playing something that they designed themselves, and they enjoy sharing their games and testing their classmates' creations. The arcade shields also encourage perseverance, collaboration, and iterative design as students identify problems, improve their code, and refine the player experience. They were able to see how materials that might normally be thrown away can be transformed into something new and useful.\r\n\r\nTo make our project even more meaningful, students used their handmade paper to create Mother's Day cards. They were excited to give their families something that they had made entirely by hand. The project allowed students to combine creativity, craftsmanship, and personal expression while creating a meaningful gift.\r\n\r\nThis experience also helped students understand the importance of recycling and reusing materials.
