Our students received headphones for the classroom to positively increase student engagement, phonological awareness, and increase literacy across the classroom.\r\n\r\nOur students have program called I-Ready. It is a high quality instruction platform that delivers lessons to to students to: increase their fluency, build basic vocabulary skills, build phonological awareness, build reading comprehension, build reading stamina, build STAAR readiness, and much more. Our access to fully use this site was limited due to amount of technology on the campus. With the use of the headphones scholars participated in asynchronous learning opportunities to close academic gaps in their classrooms. Now with your help our students are able to fully engage with the content, and increase their reading STAAR growth by 87%.\r\n\r\nSecondly, our English Language Learners are required to take a test called TELPAS. It measures their English Proficiency in four domains: Speaking, Reading, Writing, and Listening. Our scholars with use of the donated headphones practiced their abilities in the classroom, and with their Multilingual teachers as well. Their scores increased by 60% in the speaking, and listening domain alone!
