These devices have transformed the way we learn in our 8th grade Algebra classroom. Students now have immediate access to interactive math apps, digital practice tools, and research resources that help them deepen their understanding and build confidence in their skills.\r\n\r\nThe tablets have especially helped students who benefit from visual models and interactive practice. Instead of waiting for one-on-one support, they can use the technology to explore step-by-step explanations, receive instant feedback, and collaborate with their peers. One student in particular, who often struggled to stay engaged, has become a leader in using the new technology to guide classmates through assignments.\r\n\r\nYour support has not only given us tools for learning but also a sense of excitement and empowerment. My students see that others believe in their potential, and that motivates them to strive for excellence every day. After I explained---our \"wish list\" was funded and we would receive needed materials, the Brown Bears were very excited! As our packages arrived and I explain who purchased them, the students wanted to open the boxes immediately! However, I did not open the first two packages, the following day we played a guessing game, I shook the boxes and asked what do you think is inside? \r\n\r\nAfter guessing, I displayed the materials and asked the \"Brown Bears\" how would the materials be used and the responses were correct. They were most excited about receiving the headphones - needed while working on Chrome books: dry-erase markers - used while writing white board assignments and snacks as an afternoon incentive. The students really appreciated using the headphones as they were able to concentrate on their assignments.","fullyFundedDate":1740148136866,"projectUrl":"project/cleaning-leads-to-learning-to-writing-to/9090109/","projectTitle":"Cleaning leads to Learning to Writing to Snacking to Listening","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gaines","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9912048_orig.jpg?crop=640,640,x281,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752800970225","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9912048"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_101758","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":633,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":71,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":23,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 4","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":53.6,"schoolId":101758,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about KIPP Peace Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"KIPP Peace Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/texas-department-of-education/kipp-peace-elementary-school/101758"}
