My students have benefitted extremely from all of our gifts in the last few weeks. Our popsicle sticks were used to make creatures that we used to make shadow puppets when learning about light energy during science. The books were used during our read aloud time on the carpet to promote skills like kindness, class community, regulating emotions, and shapes. The chair bands were a wonderful tool used to give students a place to put their legs when they felt restless. The magnetic math symbols were used in math to create math equations on the board during whole group lessons as well as in math centers to reinforce the learned skill. The timers are used everyday to give students a set time to complete tasks as well as during games to give each student a fair amount of time. The magnetiles are a hit in class. Using their creativity and these magnetic toys are my class' favorite activity . The Magnetic tiles are a tool many students have never used or seen and I feel so proud to be able to give them the opportunity to experience them in class thanks to you. We also write letters on individual tiles to create words as well as numbers to create number sentences which makes an ordinary lesson, extraordinary to my kindergartners. The sentence strips have been used by students to label our word walls and anchor charts as well as celebrating first day of school, 100th day, turkey day with student created artistic crowns. The markers have been used while making posters for our class parades. Our Expo set is much appreciated as students love picking their own color while working on our white board during our whole group lessons. We are so grateful for your generosity . The books selected can easily lend themselves to teach many literacy skills, such as character, setting, problem and solution. The students have had a blast practicing their letter writing with the LED writing tablets as well. The small writing notebooks have been perfect for El Dictado that we use in Dual Language. All of the supplies received have been such big blessing for my classroom. Due to the current Halloween season my students really loved the books: El Lapicero Maléfico and Las Zanahorias Maléficas y Aaron Reynolds.
