Two fifty-pound dumbbells are a lot of weight. Luckily, I sent them with a cart. Last week, our rehabs were pretty slow, and everyone seemed to be staying on the field or court, but this week, the kids have needed some serious work. \r\nWith the new dumbbells, we can challenge the student athletes a little bit more. A kid with a lower-body injury can still lift with their upper body. With a 45-pound dumbbell, athletes can perform exercises like goblet squats and single-arm farmer's carries. Building the whole athlete back up is central to our Athletic Training philosophy for returning them to health. In contrast, the rose oil provides a fresh and deeply relaxing aroma, which contributes to a feeling of overall well-being.\r\n\r\nWe also extended the opportunity to some of our newest students to receive treatments using our new tools. The collective feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, indicating a general feeling of relief and noticeably improved mobility. For some individuals, the treatments resulted in a significant decrease in pain, allowing them to move more freely and comfortably. Others reported a reduction in feelings of tightness or a \"heavy\" sensation, leading to a sense of lightness and ease. With a slight give, unlike rigid concrete, students can more effectively train their balance and simulate the dynamic environments of outdoor playing surfaces.
