These gardening tools and supplies will help teach Title I junior and senior high school students how to live sustainably by learning how to grow their own food. Students will learn about the benefits of growing their own food organically and will plant, maintain, and harvest food from a garden grown on their own high school campus. To save money, students will sow seeds directly into the ground (as opposed to building raised beds), therefore shovels, rakes, and hoes are needed to accomplish this. Gardening gloves and aprons will encourage students to "get dirty" without worrying about getting their hands and clothes soiled.
