These materials will provide my students with some cool incentives to encourage them to read. Reading is such a crucial skill that is often neglected. Although I teach 7th graders, my students come to me with reading levels as low as 1st grade. While I know that I can't get every students to 7th grade level, I do feel that I can motivate them to at least try. Currently, our classroom library does not have a large enough selection or variety of books. Reading is a huge part of my curriculum, and I want to provide the tools they need to succeed.
